Report on Morocco/Western Sahara 2007 thereport.amnesty.org/eng/Regions/Middle-East-and-North-Africa/Morocco-Western-Sahara
France Libertés published in July 2003 this report with claims related to Polisario's treatment of Moroccan prisoners of war in the refugee camps in Algeria. (the last prisoners were released in 2005): www.arso.org/flreport_tindouf.pdf. The report led to the following reaction from Front Polisario, September 21st, 2003: www.spsrasd.info/sps-e210903.html
Since 1975, three quarters of the territory of Western Sahara has been occupied by Morocco. A majority of the population is still living in refugee camps in Algeria. Those who remained in their homeland are subjected to serious harassment from the Moroccan occupiers. For more than 40 years the Sahrawis have been waiting for the fullfilment of their legitimate right to self-determination.
