The Norwegian Support Committee has a Facebook profile, a Twitter profile and two YouTube channels (one Norwegian and one English). You can join these to get breaking news on the conflict and the activities of the solidarity movement. You can read our documents on Scribd.
The solidarity movement also has ‘We Support the Saharawi’ groups on Facebook for Algeria, Estonia, Tunisia and Norway. We hope to get more groups for more countries. Feel free to contact us if you want to make a We Support the Saharawi group for your country.
Since 1975, three quarters of the territory of Western Sahara has been occupied by Morocco. A majority of the population is still living in refugee camps in Algeria. Those who remained in their homeland are subjected to serious harassment from the Moroccan occupiers. For more than 40 years the Sahrawis have been waiting for the fullfilment of their legitimate right to self-determination.
